Dangerous, dangerous world
Mar. 27th, 2007 11:09 amRhys looked up at me with more concern than I've often seen on his little face as I strapped him into his carseat to go to preschool this morning, his little brow a bit furrowed. "Mommy? Don't put an airbag on my seat, okay?"
I was confused. Then I realized the visor on the passenger side was down, and the airbag warning was visible. "Children under the age of 12 can be killed by the airbag", it reads. I can't read it clearly from his seat, but I guess he can. I told him that he did not have an airbag, that he was protected by the straps on his seat, and that that was why kids could not sit in the front seat. He didn't seem all that convinced.
So much more going on in that little head than the language skills let me see, most days.
