July Stats (9 months doctors visit)
Jul. 20th, 2004 09:00 pmRhys is 17 lbs, 10 ounces (15th percentile for weight, if I'm reading the charts right), and 29 inches tall (75th percentile for height, by the same charts). I guess he's getting his body type from his dad's side. You can see his ribs when he's running around naked, which worries me a bit, but he eats reasonably so I'm trying to be mellow about it. It does mean I'm not begrudging him the night nursings when he wakes up, even if at the same time I kind of wish he'd sleep through.
The doctor wants us to start feeding him a really wide variety of table foods, including adding beef, lamb, salmon, and tuna. I celebrated by making salmon for all three of us tonight, but he didn't care for it. He shoveled peas and carrots into his mouth though, so it's all good.
He got a shot today, which pissed him off, but didn't upset him in the way it did a few months ago.
Next visit is at his first birthday. Whoa. It's true -- having a baby is a bizarre combination of stultifyingly long days and astoundingly short months.
