Nine months snapshot
Jul. 16th, 2004 10:35 pmRhys is crawling fast, pulling up competently (all the way on tiptoes to reach knobs and stuff!), standing up without support for a second or two, and cruising along tables occasionally. He can climb stairs pretty well if you let him.
We think he's sort of said his first word --"cat"(ka). At least he has been saying ka-ka-ka when the cat is nearby, and not otherwise. But maybe we're making it up.
He likes the water in the toilet bowl, and the papers near Mommy's computer.
In the evening and night he nurses all cuddled up like a baby should, but in the morning and afternoon he nurses in odd positions, kneeling and standing and dancing around and trying to switch from side to side rapidly. I tease him that he's practicing for a Nurse Nurse Revolution tournament.
He takes his meals in three phases now -- very hungry and willing to eat spooned food, kinda hungry and only willing to eat pieces of food you put in his mouth, and a little hungry and only willing to eat food he can put in his own mouth, which mostly has meant Cheerios, bits of bread products, blueberries, and broccoli. He's finding most other cut-up foods too slippery to hold, still.
His third tooth, one of the upper middle ones, is just starting to come in -- the sharp tip just broke through today.
Here's a picture of him from Anthrocon last weekend.
